The food is generally very good but last Saturday we were with a group of seven and four of us had a steak for the first time there and we were quite dissapointed by the quality of the meat. Always enjoyed the food here, they got a new chef about 5 months ago so I am told, doing a very good jobSteak was OK, linguine was woeful. A couple of tables around us complained. Great atmosphere; friendly bar staff.

Welcome to our guide for the area around Cross Keys Close in City of Westminster. I had to remind them about drinks, which were eventually brought, and so it went all evening with one thing after another. Perhaps they have change in management? we were seated, ordered a bottle of water and the waiter mumbled something about toast not being available.

One girl looked like she wished she was elsewhere, which is how we felt by the end of it.Lovely place, very good food and great service in a beautiful location.Good overall but has deteriorated from its great status only a few months ago. This place has stood the test of time and was even the location of the great beer flood of the early 1800's (basically a brewery up the hill had a horrible accident where all their beer flooded the streets).Nice pub.

Close to Bus Routes; Close to Railway Station Not sure if the chef had a day off but this time food was below average. Cozy, small, dark interior. Lots of Beetles memorabilia was hanging above the bar. Again, a lack of service where I was made to feel uncomfortable. they've now run out of burgers... so won't be going back anytime soon!I have been to this place for a few years but recently they have changed all the team, so the service is not as good, the food is disappointing, they have cut down in the menu.We met friends for Sunday lunch. Mains up to the usual high standard.

Such a pity: it's not difficult to give good and pleasant service.I very rarely review where I eat, but the Cross Keys will die a slow death if it continues like it is now. Staff always very friendlyLove the atmosphere at the Cross Keys but let down by the uninspired menu on this occasion. The worst part was that there seemed to be no understanding of the problems despite our polite reminders, let alone an apology. Chef needs to lift his/her game a bit. Very good waiting staff. When we asked what was going on we were told sorry we had a very busy day so we don’t have much food left! We went back again within our week in Chelsea. Built in 1708, it is the oldest pub in Chelsea.
