Okay, they are usually a little lighter as in not having to look up every other word and maybe it isn't full of statements that take 5 pages to make a point because it's a story that does what it's supposed to do; carry you away into other people's lives usually about relationships and this little gem is certainly a Jewell. All in all, an exciting read. I usually like to read an author's book in order of publication, but have already read One Hit Wonder (which was great). Usually I LOVE what I call "British Chick Lit", but this one fell a little short for me. Ralph, a ne'er-do-well artist, suddenly realizes he's head over heels in love with his new flatmate Jem, the most fun and sensible girl he's ever encountered.
