Transferring From Community College Questions With Retaken classes (Engineering) Transfer Hey guys I had some questions about transferring out of community college within engineering and honestly I couldn’t find a good enough answer from councilors and advisors so I brought it here. No top school can ever be a safety, unless you are a valedictorian child soldier who scored a 36 on his ACT and moved to America after toppling a communist regime in your home country.If you aren't in that university's top 25% for SAT & GPA, it isn't really a safety.Even that depends tho, like I'm in the top 25% for most of the ivies and in no way would I ever consider any of them a safety (except for Cornell of course /s)I think it helps to be really pessimistic about matches and safetiesAnd by the way, Purdue engineering is not a safety. Don't fret though. There's something else going on that OP isn't telling us or maybe he just doesn't know.And tbh their UW GPA is still above a 3.0 so it's not like it's a I'm shocked. They don't deserve me, and I will happily take my talents, creativity, and knowledge elsewhere, even if it is the in-state school that could not be less of a fit for me.Thank you eternally for this sub, and the people and support available here.
